"We can be sure that the greatest hope for maintaining

in the face of any situation rests within ourselves.."
- Francis J. Braceland
About Me
I hold a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University/Seattle as well as an undergraduate degree in Social Sciences (psychology focus) from the University of Alaska. Addtionally, I am a National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (NBCCH), having received my hypnotherapy training through the Wellness Institute in Issaquah, WA.
I am a Washington State Mental Health Counselor Associate (MC60145992) in
the process of becoming a fully licensed Washington State Mental Health
Counselor. I am a member of the
American Counseling Association and enjoy attending professional seminars
and trainings to hone my therapeutic skills.
I am passionate about working with people who are struggling through difficult times/situations in their life…..feeling stressed and overwhelmed.....whether due to experiencing bumps along the road of life or something more traumatic and life changing. My approach to therapy integrates a variety of techniques suited to each client's individual needs.
It is my belief that in therapy you are the best judge of where you need to be and it is my job to meet you there. I do not consider myself a fixer of problems or the "all knowing one." Rather, I seek to work collaboratively with you, acting as guide and fellow companion on your journey to self-awareness. As your therapist I listen, reflect back to you what I hear you saying and see you experiencing. I ask questions to help you gain insight into your belief systems. It is my job to create a safe, supportive place for you to share, explore and just be.

"It takes a lot of courage to release
the familiar and seemingly secure,
to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer
meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting,
for in movement there is life, and in change there is power." - Alan Cohen |
